Currently, I am the director of Medfield Community Access, a small public access station in eastern Massachusetts. A protocol which uses five Acupuncture needles inserted into specific points on the ear.Recovery from post-traumatic stress, mirrors the recovery path for chemical addiction. Residents as well as responders in a Natural disaster face enormous mental and physical stresses upon not only the individual, but larger social systems such as the family, and community. Knowing that unresolved trauma can have repercussions for decades, Acupuncturists Without Borders offer services from volunteer Acupuncturists who provide treatments to interrupt this cycle of pain and chaos and relieve suffering. The goal being to support the healing of the individual as well as the whole community.
